Dragon Boat 2009

The boys school raced this year in the Dragon Boat races during the Maritime Fest, which was held on August 29, 2009. This year we were able to not only have the students race again but we were able to put together an adult boat! The boat holds 20 people to make a full boat. You have to have a minimum of 12, plus a drummer, in order to race. The boys kicked the adults butt and came in 2nd and 3rd place in the races! GO VIKINGS!
Here are a few pictures that were taken and a few of the crew in the student boat. (L-R; Tessa, Angela, Joel, Neva and Shaun), who are all classmates too.

Beginning of the End...

FIRST DAY of SCHOOL
8/31/2009

ZACHARY
3rd Grade

NATHANIEL
4th Grade

JOEL
8th Grade
I love my boys but was also was very thankful that school started in August this year and hope it starts in August every year! Sounds bad, I know...
Joel is entering his last year at the school he has attended since he was in
Pre-Kindergarten, back in 2000. I am having a hard time with it, because he loves that school and so do we all! There comes a point when it is time to move on, I suppose. That is why I call this, "The Beginning of the End".
Nathaniel is getting in to the older grades but kind of in the "in between grade", as I call 4th grade. You aren't really the younger ones, but aren't quite the older group yet. Soon enough he will get there as he is growing up just as fast as his older brother!
Zachary seems to be flying through the grades faster than I can keep up with. 3rd grade already...WOW! His teacher said that I will notice a change in him, once they get in to 3rd grade. Hope so, cause he is the youngest and the busiest in every possibe way and seems to find trouble without even trying; he doesn't have to find it, it finds him! What I love about his teacher, is that she taught all three of my boys, Zach being the last. Kind of sad, because she is a WONDERFUL teacher!

Day 1

Before I can tell about my kids, I have to learn how this works. Not much of an entry...however it is true.
